The BE-PACT Approach is based on Lean Thinking.
Lean Thinking originates from the Toyota Manufacturing System and seeks
to eliminate waste (where waste is defined by the customer) and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
The critical starting point for
Lean Thinking is value, which can only be defined by the ultimate customer. It is only meaningful when expressed in terms of a specific
product or service which meets the customer’s needs at a specific price at a specific time.
Continuous Improvement based on Lean Thinking
principles helps to simplify and standardize business processes. It helps a company to understand how to operate more efficiently
and effectively. It helps to reduce stock levels without compromising on service. It is about levelling activity (reducing peaks and
troughs) and removing overburden (making life easier for the employee).
Lean Thinking creates value by eliminating and preventing waste
wherever possible. World Class processes are all about efficiency, revenue, cost, reliability and value.
